Here’s a little presentation that I may have had a little (a lot!) involvement in. The deck covers 10 trends that are changing the face of financial services, with the slides looking at evolving consumer behavior and the brands or start-ups that are looking to leverage those changes. The trends themselves are often the result of shifts in technology, adaptation in brand behavior or just the visible tipping point toward the evolution of the industry or niche sector itself. I hope you enjoy the preo and please feel free to forward to everyone you know :)
The Future Of Finance : 10 Trends That Are Changing The Face Of Financial Services
The Recipe Receipt By Hellmann’s
I love it when technology appears in unexpected places and creates little pockets of value that you wouldn’t otherwise expect to see. Hellmann’s Mayonnaise have done exactly that by partnering with a major supermarket chain and adding a little bit of clever software at the point of purchase. Once you reach the cash register, and you have Hellmann’s in you basket the software analyses the food you are buying and adds a recipe to your recipe. From the ingredients you need from you shop to the steps you need to make it, everything is contained within the receipt and ready to go.
How Big WIll The Internet Be In 2015?
Answer, pretty big, no let me re-phrase, effing ginormous! In the following infographic Cisco try to demonstrate just how big the web is going to get in only a few short years. As the content we consume gets bigger, more visual and of higher quality the amount of data passing through servers, down phone lines or over the air will continue to grow exponentially.
Would A Holographic iPhone Look Like This?
Sweet little animation from Mike Ko I stumbled upon on Adverblog which shows an animated 3D experience popping out of an iPhone. Who knows with a company like Apple, this could end up being a reality sooner than we think!
Nike Auction Lets You Bid In KMs Not Money
This is a clever idea out of JWT Mexico for Nike where-by a brand auction is run using peoples Nike+ kilometers not money as currency. Participants simply connect their Nike+ account to the auction and use the number of KM’s traveled to bid for product such as trainers, clothing and accessories. Its a great way to drive brand participation, support the Nike running ecosystem, reward loyal consumers and leverage the data collected through its mobile app.
Yes This Is Poo Powered Wifi
Dog poo, the ugly cousin of poo. Previously provided no value to the poo family giving other poo’s (like nourishing cow poo) a bad name. But no longer, now dog poo can power your local parks wifi signal ensuring your never without the ability to send an email on the go. This idea is truly imagination hard at work.
Domino’s Scooters Get Human Voiceover (WTF!)
I’ve seen some pretty wacky stuff come out of the Domino’s idea kitchen but this stunt (surely they can’t be serious!) has to take the business. In a bid to make their delivery scooters more noticeable/recognizable in the Dutch bicycle lanes Domino’s decided to replace the usual 2 stroke engine sound with a human rendition…mmmmmmm….mmmmmm…Domino’s! Bonkers!
JWT Offers Free Beer For Timesheets
All ad agencies use timesheets, it’s how they determine client profitability and resource requirements. Problem is filling in timesheets sits somewhere between watching paint dry or the grass grow in terms of excitement! That is unless you unlock a fridge full of free beer once all staff have completed them! Great use of technology by JWT…although I dd notice an unguarded shelf of Vodka!
