Things are heating up. You’re about to get lucky. Then the unthinkable happens. You realize you don’t have a condom! Never fear, Durex have a solution. Or at least they do in the Middle East. #CondomSOS is a location enabled iPhone app that broadcasts a discrete distress signal to Durex HQ and before you know it a ‘delivery driver’ turns ups with your merchandise! A genuinely fantastic idea that does a good deed. Nice work.

If you’ve ever been on a guided tour around a city you’ll know just how expensive they can be.  However if you visit Gothenburg in the future you’ll have the choice of downloading this smart app called Tram Sightseeing that guides you around the historic city via its excellent public tram system.  Utilising GPS, various data feeds and providing an audio experience, travellers can sit back and listen to the app as it tells you stories about the various locations and buildings you pass on your ride.  The app is also smart enough to move from line to line to make it back to your stating station in under an hour!

There have been some great ideas that have been funded by Kickstarter but none, and I mean none are better then this one.  I present Run, Zombies!  The world of GPS tracked running is good but is a bit same same.  Nike+, Run Keeper, Track My Run etc, all do a good job of tracking your performance but aren’t great at motivating you to run further or faster.  That is all about to change because with Run, Zombies you are being chased by, yes, Zombies!  I can already picture people running around parks and city streets with scared looks on their faces as imaginary Zombies close in!  Genius!
