I can’t believe its 1 year to the day that Steve Jobs passed away. I remember the day quite vividly. I was at work in Sydney and I had twitter sitting open in one of my browser tabs. It wasn’t on twitter at the time I was emailing. For whatever reason I decided check my twitter stream and everything was normal. A note at the top of the screen said there was a new message. I clicked it and quite shockingly it said Steve Jobs had died. I quickly Googled the news. Nothing. The note on twitter popped back up. 3 more messages. I clicked. Each one was about Steve Jobs passing. 5 more. 10 more. 20 more messages. My twitter stream had changed before my eyes from one of every day normality to wave of shock, disbelief and condolences. The news was real and it happened 1 year ago today. So take a moment and dedicate it to the the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the trouble makers, the round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. To Steve Jobs.
Ingenius! Have you ever been late to work because when you wake mother nature has dumped 3 feet of snow on your car or Jack Frost has iced your wind screen to within an inch of its life? Never fear, the team at agency Boondoogle have created a super smart alarm clock called the ‘Winter Wake-up’ that monitors the weather over night and wakes you up early if things outside have got a little hairy!
Concious of appearing hypocritical vs big advertisers, the WWF needed a sustainable and efficient way of reaching lots of people. Who would have guessed that 2 Pandas and a leaflet was the answer. Through a stroke of pure genius the WWF deployed its pair of Pandas to a shopping mall. With one Panda at the top and the other at the bottom of the escalator they were bale to recyle a single leaflet 100′s of times. Couple that with a video gone viral and you have a net audience of 285,142 people! All with a single printed leaflet!
