I’ve touched on this topic a few times in the last couple of months, here, here and here, and now Australian site Life Insurance Finder has released the below video with some interesting, if a little fantastical thoughts about our digital selves post death. Generationally this idea of a digital death is yet to be fully understood. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube et al are all under a decade old and statistically their sweet spot is Gen Y onwards. Since their core audience is under 40 there hasn’t been a wave of commentary or debate on who owns an individuals data when they die or sensible protocol on how to remove/archive a persons digital imprint.
