Another week brings us another helping of awesome digital and social media thinking as well as another 7 cats from the worlds best advent calendar! Here’s our handy little summary for your enjoyment;
Moviegoers in Toronto are being treated to a world first interactive cinema experience courtesy of Ford. Viewers are able to use their mobile phones to access a specialy created m site which enables them to interact with what was on the big screen in real time. A 60 second spot comprised of 2 parallel films, one featuring a guy the other a girl has been shot, and will air before the feature presentation. Viewers are then able to use their mobile devices to choose who they see more of as the story unfolds. In total there are 4 chances to interact meaning there are 16 possible outcomes to enjoy. I’ve seen this technology in action at a recent conference and it is a lot of fun to play along, adding a captive audience surrounded by a kick ass sound system and big screen can only make it better. Smart thinking.
