To celebrate the holidays, AKQA teamed up with members of the Pacific Chamber Symphony and Music Director Lawrence Kohl to create a synchronized ‘Mobile Orchestra‘. Carol Of The Bells ties devices together through individual, synchronised content streams to create a much bigger, immersive musical experience than possible on a single device. A bit like Deeplocals ‘Deck the Screens‘ from 2011.
To bring a little Christmas cheer to the victims of Hurricane Sandy agency 360i has decided to turn one of its meeting rooms into a life size, twitter powered, snow globe! Simply tweet you message using the hashtag #twinterwonderland and not only will the snow machine spurt out an extra helping of white powder (no not the usual agency fodder!) but 360i will also donate $5 to the Sandy fund. Great job guys…let it snow, let it snow, let it snoooow!
If only this was true. It’s a fantastic idea out of the Miami Ad School courtesy of Philip Hovensjö, Max Pilwat, Andy Schwitter (Art Directors), Westley Taylor (Copywriter) and Shane Stever (Voice Over). The idea is simple. Any iPhone user has a tone of apps, I believe the average is around 30, of which only 10 are used on a regular basis. So why not donate some of those long forgotten apps, or at least their value, to charity this Xmas. Simply drag the unwanted app into the donation box and the money is donated!
