To celebrate the holidays, AKQA teamed up with members of the Pacific Chamber Symphony and Music Director Lawrence Kohl to create a synchronized ‘Mobile Orchestra‘. Carol Of The Bells ties devices together through individual, synchronised content streams to create a much bigger, immersive musical experience than possible on a single device. A bit like Deeplocals ‘Deck the Screens‘ from 2011.
The run up to Christmas has revealed yet more Christmas campaigns with an added sprinkling of ad agency Christmas cards. All good fun and some surprisingly innovative ideas. Enjoy the best digital and social media stories of the last week;
Now you’ve enjoyed your fix of ad related shenanigans spare a thought for all the Christmas Cats in Christmas Hats and head here for a visual delight!
As the agency Christmas cards start to roll out their respective shop doors some will be seen as innovative others will fall by the wayside. After all its a competitive game and only the strong will survive! This example from Wieden + Kennedy London called ‘A Choir of You‘ lets anyone that passes by their Hanbury Street office to play along. Simply stand infront of the camera, sing along and as you sing louder your choir grows in size sharing more magnificent festive tunes!
I’m still not bored of Christmas campaigns, you might be but I’m not! Here’s another cool xmas innovation from design & development company Deeplocal which lets you create a never ending string of synchronised Christmas lights. Just invite your friends to join at “Deck The Screens” and enter the unique code on your device and you can be part of the fun. If you do participate and figure out the point please leave a comment!
